(12:01 p.m.) Employees in schools can leave when students have departed if they so choose. Hourly employees will be able to make up their time later if they choose to leave early today.

(11:43 a.m.) All extracurricular events scheduled for Friday night in Chatham County Schools have been canceled. The district may release staff early if the storm continues to worsen before the end of the regular work day.

(Update: 11:15 a.m.) Due to inclement weather entering Chatham County before 11 a.m., Chatham County Schools will release all students at 11:30 a.m. today. Buses will run their routes, and families should be assured some members of the staff will remain at schools until all students have been picked up.
